Day 1: Arrive in Florence and be warmly greeted by Villa Vita staff. The trip begins with a beautiful drive to your luxury villa. Upon arrival, enjoy a fine glass of vino
and get settled in to enjoy the day. Take a ride to a
nearby market to pick up a few of the local delicacies
to enjoy in the week ahead. Relax by the pool and let the Tuscan sun soothe your soul and your body clock as it gently glides you into Tuscan time.
Day 2: Begin the day with a castle tour to
the 12th century Castello di Brolio and sample some of
their top quality wines. Tour their beautiful gardens
and grounds. Return to enjoy our signature welcome
dinner serving typical Italian dishes made with fresh
produce from the gardens while partaking in conversation with other guests. Enjoy a visit from some local musicians in the early evening.

Day 3: Take the quintessential hill town tour of
Siena escorted by a local guide orating the rich history and giving a bit of
local gossip in between to keep things even more interesting!
Visit the fantastic Piazza del Campo where the
traditional Palio Horse Race takes place twice per year
since the 1400's. Tour the Duomo - one of the most
spectacular in all of Italy. There is plenty of time for shopping, taking in museums and architectural marvels. Enjoy a traditional slow paced lunch in the piazza followed by a well-deserved siesta upon returning to the villa. Relax in the evening with a quiet dinner under the stars overlooking the
hills of Chianti. B
Day
4: Travel to Badia a Coltibuono, the highly acclaimed
cooking school nestled in a 11th century monastery where
our gracious host family has lived for over 400 years.
Here you will learn to prepare a fabulous Italian lunch with
antipasti, primi piatti and dolce and of course, the
proper wine pairing from the vineyard's awesome cellar. B L
Day 5: Visit San Giorgio a Lapi, the Simoni Family Vineyards in the heart of Chianti. Sample their award winning wines and spend time with the family as they share with you their passion for life and love for the land. Enjoy a light lunch in the gardens of the vineyard.

Day 6: After a leisurely breakfast, embark on a bicycle tour through the small, quiet, cypress lined back roads. Delight in the vineyards and olive groves as you pass farms and local markets. Stop for a picnic under the trees and enjoy locally crafted foods to fuel your body and nourish your soul. Head back to the villa to relax your tired happy muscles by the pool.

Day 7: Free to enjoy optional tours to the
seaside, visit Florence or other hill towns in the
beautiful Tuscan countryside. Visit Thermal Baths
or Etruscan ruins. Take a tour to Montalcino where the
fabulous Brunello wine is produced or the lovely town of
Pienza, famous for their fresh pecorino cheeses.
Or just relax and enjoy the inviting atmosphere at the
villa. B
Day
8: Take one more stroll down the cypress
lined path, breathe in the fresh morning air and enjoy your espresso one last time. . . for this journey, that is. Pack up your special purchases and memories to treasure and share as you continue onto your next destination. Then begin your plan to return.
